Be The Cause Committee:

The AFP Foundation’s mission and purpose is to generate additional resources for strategic initiatives critical to advancing ethical and effective fundraising. The “Be The Cause” Campaign is the AFP Foundation’s largest annual campaign.

Our Tampa Bay Chapter “Be The Cause” campaign gives our members an opportunity to do what we ask others to do every day in our professional roles as fundraisers – to make a charitable gift to support a very important cause. A gift to the “Be The Cause” benefits our professional fundraising community by funding chapter development and scholarships that provide for the professional growth of our membership.

The committee carries out the membership recruiting and retention plan, works in conjunction with the diversity committee and programming committee to encourage member participation, and promotes diversity. These activities include new member orientation, AFP Socials, and networking opportunities, among others.
